Does anybody know any safe downloads for programmes that let you explore space and the planets?
A couple of years ago my friend showed me a programme on his computer were you could travel through space. It was amazing,you could go and look at any planet and the sun etc.The pictures were actual pictures taken by a sattelite that had traveled through space for years or something.Does anybody know of a safe programme like this I can download?
Orbiter is pretty cool, but it's a program with a pretty steep learning curve. You have to understand the concepts of space flight in order to use it (don't worry, they have tutorials, plus a pretty active community for helping others), but you can explore anywhere in the solar system with it. There are also numerous downloads available adding more ships, planes, etc to toy with.
