what is the procedure for replacing the drivers door hinge pins on a 2000 gmc yukon?
i purchased the pins but i don't understand how to remove the old one's. i hope i don't have to pay a professional to do this for me.
The hinges are welded on. so you have to drill out one side and then use a punch to push it thru. you do that on bolth top and bottom. best thing is to take the door panel off mainly to protect it. then get in your kick panel and disconnect i think 2 or 3 bulk connectors so the door can be takin away from the truck. when you get the door off you will have to drill the pillar side hinge to make it right size for the bushings, get the bushing in and then put the door back and put the pins in. replace everything you took off and you should be good. pin on top goes down. pin on bottom goes up. make sure the c-clip is put on. hope this helps.
