How do I wire 2 light fixtures to 1 switch with power at the switch?
I originally had power running to a light switch and then another wire to a light fixture. I spliced the going to the light fixture so that I could add a second light fixture. I connected all 3 blacks together, all 3 whites together and all 3 grounds together but when I turned the breaker back on, the breaker popped. How do I make this configuration work?
Never replace the breaker with a bigger one (15 to 20, etc). This is not only stupid, but a huge fire hazard. I can't fix your specific problem over the internet, but don't listen to a dumba$$ who tells you to up the breaker. You could burn your house down.. For about $65, a licensed electrician can fix your problem.
